Bonnie's Been Taking a Vacation from the Sink

Oh well, summer is over and we're back on to the serious stuff.

Doesn't anyone else out there have some news? Is it really so hard to post to this thing? If there are any brave souls I still offer to hold your hand and walk you through...

Well, here is the LA update:

We have a new baby Krull arriving in under three weeks!!!

Misia had her 25th birthday.

Olivia had her 7th birthday.

Nathie had her 33rd birthday.

Tobey has a mouthful of new teeth.

Chloe has lost some!

She and Mila have been taking belly dancing classes (only in Topanga!) So they dance any time they can...

And, Janek is in Greensburg, Kansas.

You may have heard of the 2.5 mile wide Category 5 tornado that swept straight across this 1.5 square mile town this past May. They had 20 minutes warning. Janek has been asked to be part of a team to make a new "Green" Greensburg--a newly planned, sustainable town. You can see more pictures here. You don't often get a chance to work with a blank slate! Poor people.

  1. It is really sickening to look at all the devastation of Greeensburg, photo after photo. Amazing karma that Janek has to be going there and helping to reshape lives for the better.

No real news here, either . . . Chris deploys for another 6 months on the ship called Tarawa beginning early November. I'm hoping he can get to Cincinnati to see me after my first hip replacement on Oct. 2, and before he deploys to who knows where. Of course I'm dreaming constantly of trying to escape being on a huge ship skimming across the ocean!

I get such a good feeling when I look at the picture of Bones and Janek in Washington, D.C. How wonderful and how rich your relationship is! What a treasure and a rarity! I love you both for your enduring strength and fine example to us all.

  2. Thank you so much for your comments Mickey. I can't take credit/responsibility for the "fine example" we may be; to others we certainly differ; however, the photo did indeed capture the best of us in spirit and I, like you, continue to draw inspiration from it.
